Environment in Sweden

Environment in Sweden

In Sweden we have a lot of problems with buying food and other stuff we don´t need. For example in school we trash a lot of food because we have taken too much and we get full or we don´t like it. That´s not good! We need to learn to take better care of the food we eat. Each year every Swede throws away 56 kilos of food you actually can eat. We also trash 44 kilos we can´t eat, because we keep it in the fridge until it is too old. Now there is a way to recycle the food and process it into biomass fuel. That is why people in many communities separate their food from the other trash.

Another way to be climatsmart is to always make your food from scratch and not buy fabricated food. It`s also important to not buy injected food or food that has been transported far away. It` also important to choose that are made by people that has a fair wage and good working conditions.

In Sweden we buy a lot of stuff we don´t need, like too much clothes, bags, toys and shoes. But a lot of people give away stuff they don´t need to stores who sells it in a better price. Or you just give it to someone that can´t afford new clothes. That is a good way to a better environment.
